You can actually go to any station that has a bus that can take you to Cabanatuan City in
Nueva Ecija. In the Baliwag terminal, one bus for Cabanatuan City leaves every hour on the
hour. Fare is around 100 pesos per person and 3 to 4 hours to get there. After you get off
at the Cabanatuan City terminal the trip gets rough. In Cabanatuan, it will be just in time
for lunch and a toilet break. Wait for a bus heading for Baler that will take 4 to 5 hours,
through a zigzag road. After the first 2 hours into the ride, there will be a bus stop-over
for a late dinner at some roadside carinderia. After two and a half hours it will be Baler
town proper. From the market you can take a tricycle to the beach, where there are dozens
of little resorts or inns where you can stay for about P350 a room per night. You could
give instructions to be brought to Bay's Inn (known as Bahy's Inn, not Bey, by the locals)
to the tricycle driver (it's a pretty long stretch of a beach). If you don't like the
accommodations in Bay's Inn, all the others are just a stone's throw away.
