Fresh flowers from all over ---
The Dangwa Flower Market in Sampaloc, also known as the Bulaklakan ng Maynila, is located on Dos Castillas Street and intersects Laong-Laan Street along which the Dangwa Bus Terminal is situated.
Mainly a "Bagsakan" or Depot of flowers largely from Baguio City, this market with nearly a hundred flower vendors is also a popular source of imported cut-flowers which supply the major flower shops all over the city.
The most interesting time to go to this locale is at dawn (about 3:00 to 4:00am) when fresh deliveries from all over are unloaded and the stalls are electric with the frenzy of activity and floral scents wafting in daybreak mists; a veritable photo op!
