As nature lovers, we made a mental note that we will definitely go to this place someday. So when we went to Bohol, I included the Loboc River Cruise as part of our destination. We were surprised to see that the place was well developed, with floating restaurants, lampposts set up on the riverbanks, and cultural presentations by locals on the river. We learned that the local government with the support of the Department of Tourism developed the Loboc River and the Busay Falls into tourist spots. Cesar Montano, the local actor who starred in the movie also helped endorse Loboc as a tourist destination.
We gasped at the beauty of Loboc's rainforest with tall palm trees, native fruit trees and other lush greens. It is surely an additional attraction along the Loboc River. We were told that this rainforest is extensive, reaching up to the mountains, and joining the Loboc-Bilar mahogany man-made forest.
