For those who like swimming in rivers, Madlum has clear waters and a good sandy riverbed
that slopes gradually (making it ideal for swimming for all ages). It is surrounded by
interesting rock faces that have several explorable caves that are less than a hundred meters from
the river.
Madlum is located near the northern boundary of Bulacan. It is about 90 km from
Manila (from Balintawak Cloverleaf intersection).
How to get there
Take the North Luzon Tollway and exit at Sta. Rita/Baliuag (exit 32A/32B).
From the exit, head north along the National Highway towards Plaridel, Baliuag,
San Ildefonso then San Miguel (about 40 km). At San Miguel, turn right head
eastward until you reach Sibul Springs (9+ km).
At Sibul Springs, turn left at the road right after the old Sibul Springs resort
and head northeast toward the road to Madlum. As of travelogue time (2001), this
road from Sibul Springs to Madlum is about 3 km of dirt road.

Tips
Avoid weekends and holidays We have been told that while this place is
frequented by tourists and gets crowded on weekends and holidays. If you want to
really enjoy this place, we suggest going on a weekday when you may probably have the
place all to yourselves.
