Some travel guides and web pages still list this as a destination that offers therapeutic hot spring waters and also a place ideal for bathers to take a refreshing dip. This place is no longer so.
According to local folks, this place used to have a nice cool river that meets with the hot spring waters. A strong typhoon sometime in 1985 caused the nearby mountain slopes to erode and dumped so much earth on the river. Water flow got diverted elsewhere leaving the river to run dry. The hot spring still brings forth hot water of nearly 60 degrees celsius but at a very measley rate of about a liter per minute when we visited.Waypoint narrative by: EPPGarcia 2003 follow EPPGarcia on Facebook
