In the Batangas dialect, Naambon means "It is showering". Aptly named, Naambon falls literally cascades like a rain shower during the wet seasons when a lot of water is flowing from the mountains. The falls is located near Barrio Hugom, west of Laiya. It is accessible only by hiking about 1.5kms on the beach and about 1km
up and down through a mountainside footpath
How to get there
Trek starts from any of the resorts in Barrio Hugom, west end of Laiya.

Rainy season has started for this year, so we decided to visit Naambon Falls once again hoping there would be ample water flow for a good photo take. However, we were disappointed to discover that, even with the grounds around the area already wet and saturated, the falls did not have any more water than it had during the dry season. Something must be wrong with the water source upstream. We can only guess as we can now see several plastic water pipes tapping water from the top of the falls to bring down to the community down on the beach front. The pipes are eyesores covering nearly every picturesque angle of the falls.By: EPPGarcia 2003
