RAMS lagoon is also one of the most beautiful and "wall to wall moss carpetted" campsites or clearings in the park. You can best view it from a clearing ridge just above it. One of the most distinctive features of the area is that there is a considerable amount if ferns and mossy forest trees. The area seems to have been standing still in time. It still looks like the Jurassic area forest. One of the best places to camp but also one of the coldest during January and February. We experienced 7 Degrees C temperature during our camp in the wee hours of the morning.
