The corals were transplanted from live coral fragments in February 2005 in coordination with and funding from Hayuma Foundation (through Hayuma Executive Director Emmanuel "Manny" Paterno) in time for a big conference of Singles for Christ in Boracay. The effort was made possible by a group of volunteer divers lead by Dir. Manny Paterno with Homer Hernandez (NAUI # 17777), acting as marine biological consultant. After nine months (November 2005), the first monitoring was conducted and growth among transplants were very evident. The rehabilitation area is in the vicinity of Angol Point in Boracay, Malay Aklan.
