I call it "sleepy".....it really is. Except for a videoke bar and a small hardware by the breakwater there isn't much to see. But Sta. Fe is an interesting takeoff point going to Boracay from Tablas. A big boat (~50 person capacity) leaves daily for Caticlan/Boracay between 10-11 AM via a scenic sail along the shores of Carabao Island. The trip takes about 1.5 hours. For P150 pesos, it's definitely worth it!
On one occasion we spent three nights at the Puro Island Ecology Camp (Batangas-Odiongan-Guinbirayan route) before proceeding to Boracay via Sta.Fe . We left the vehicles in an "overnight parking lot" near the Batangas pier entrance at P100 per day.
This route is one of the least expensive way to get to Boracay (<2000pesos roundtrip) and probably the most scenic.
The Sta Fe locals have been very friendly so far ....
