Sta Mercedes is (was) a fishing village located at the western-most tip of Cavite province. It is located in the town of Maragondon. It is a good jump-off point to the Limbones Island.
As of travelog time this fishing village is no longer a community nor a settlement of fishermen. The residents have been asked to evacuate and relocate because the land is actually private property and the owner closed and gated the area. Thus, even if it is so accessible now because of the new Ternate-Nasugbu tourism road, it is no longer possible to go to the beach to enjoy it. This waypoint is classified as a scenic view and jump-off instead of a beach. The public can just enjoy the view though from the roadside near the gate to this beach.
Or, if you intend to make this a jump-off point to Limbones Island, the guards at the gate can get you connected with a boatman from whom whom you can hire a boat to take you to Limbones Island.Waypoint narrative by: EPPGarcia 2013 follow EPPGarcia on Facebook
